DOT Log Book · 2-Ply Carbonless · 31 Sets per Pad
Audit-ready DOT log book with HOS recap pre-printed on every page. 31 sets per pad, 2-ply carbonless, FMCSA §395 fields. Subscribe & Save 10%.
A DOT log book that respects how the work actually gets done.
The grid runs midnight to midnight. The duty-status lines stack in the order you live them. The HOS recap math sits in the right margin so you can finish the form before the inspector finishes their first question. 31 sets per pad means a full month of compliant logging from a single pad.
Built for the cab — not the back office.
Most generic log books were designed by people who haven't filled one out at 11 p.m. in a truck stop. We rebuilt this pad around how working drivers actually use it: shipping document and shipper fields are wide enough for a real bill-of-lading number, the location-change column has room for two cities and a state line, and the remarks field doesn't run out at the third sentence.
The 2-ply system that handles both retention rules.
The original (white) goes to the home terminal — that's the 6-month carrier retention requirement under §395.8(k). The duplicate (canary yellow) stays in the cab — that's the 8-day driver-possession rule. One pad, both retention rules covered, no photocopier required.
What makes it audit-ready.
Heavyweight 60-lb carbonless paper, mechanical perforation that tears clean every time, full-width tear-off so you don't have to rip a corner, and a chipboard back stiff enough to write against on a steering wheel. We test pads from every production run before they ship — three QC checkpoints — for ink saturation, transfer cleanliness, and perforation cleanness.
Subscribe & Save 10% — never run out.
One pad covers about a month. Pick a 30, 60, or 90-day cadence and we ship a fresh one to your door at 10% off list price. We send a 3-day reminder before each ship date so you can skip, swap cadence, or cancel from your phone in two taps. No commitment beyond the next shipment.
Drivers and carriers remain responsible for completing, storing, and using records according to applicable rules and company procedures.
Drivers ask
Will this pass a DOT roadside inspection?
Yes. Every form captures the exact fields required by FMCSA §396.11 — tractor, trailer, brakes, lights, tires, coupling devices, safety equipment, defects, and driver signature. Hand it to a DOT officer at roadside without explanation. The form is designed to help drivers document vehicle inspection information commonly required under FMCSA §396.11. Drivers and carriers remain responsible for completing and maintaining records correctly.
What if the book gets damaged in the cab?
If it doesn't hold up, send it back. The Branson Promise — built right, backed right. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
How fast do you ship?
Orders ship within 1 business day via USPS Priority or UPS Ground. Most U.S. addresses receive within 3–5 business days.
Do I still need paper DVIRs if I have an ELD?
Yes. DVIRs are separate from HOS logs. Even with an ELD for hours-of-service, FMCSA §396.11 still requires a written daily vehicle inspection report for any defects affecting safe operation.
